Eric Dixon was named Preseason All-BIG EAST First Team, while Wooga Poplar earned Preseason Third Team honors. The Wildcats were picked to finish seventh in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches’ Poll with 44 points. Villanova will host Robert Morris for a charity exhibition game on Sunday at noon. 🔼 Predicting The Future. At Media Day, the women’s team was represented by Kaitlyn Orihel, Denae Carter and Maddie Burke, along with Coach Denise Dillon. The Wildcats were picked to finish sixth in the Preseason Coaches’ Poll. They return four letter winners from last season’s team that went to the WBIT Championship.

🔼  Winner, Winner. The men’s golf team concluded the fall portion of the season with a third-place finish at the Big 5 Championship! Ryan Pamer won the individual championship, his second this season. The Wildcats led the field with 11 birdies. They’ll return to the golf course in the spring.

🔼 Rookie Sensation. Villanova running back David Avit has been named to the Jerry Rice Award Watch List! The award honors the FCS freshman player of the year in college football. The last Wildcat to win the award was quarterback John Robertson in 2012.

The Wildcats will host New Hampshire tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. It’s Homecoming Weekend, so don’t forget to secure your tailgate spot!
