In the annual preseason polls, the men were selected seventh for the second consecutive season, while the women were slotted fourth.
Sophomore guard Jasmine Bascoe was a unanimous selection to the BIG EAST Preseason All-BIG EAST team.

🔼 Key To Victory. A trio of Villanova Wildcats each recorded their first career goal, helping fuel a convincing 3-0 victory over VMI in a game played on a sun-splashed fall afternoon at the Higgins Soccer Complex on Tuesday afternoon.
The Wildcats got their goals from junior Josh Oladele, freshman Matthew Klann and junior Javon Daniels. In each case, it was the first college goal of their respective careers.
