🔼 Road Trippin’. Looking for a third straight CAA victory, the 17th-ranked Villanova football team hits the road yet again this weekend when they travel south to North Carolina to battle Elon on Saturday afternoon.

Averaging nearly 34 points a game over the past three weeks, the red-hot Wildcat offense will look to lead the way when the two teams take the field for a 2 p.m. kickoff.

🔼 Dub In DC. The Villanova volleyball squad bounced back with an important win on Thursday night, taking down the Georgetown Hoyas in four sets (28-26, 31-33, 25-14, 25-21) at McDonough Arena in Washington, D.C.

Abby Harrell paced the match with a 20-kill, 13-dig double-double for Villanova, who improved to 13-3 on the season, while Ava Mehrten added 12 kills at a .455 clip for her season-high as a Wildcat to move the 'Cats to their best start to a season since 2010.

Both setters Ava Harris (24 assists, 10 digs) and Alyssa Nelson (18 assists, 10 digs) contributed double-doubles for the Wildcats as Marly Smith set career highs in both blocks (five) and aces (four).

🔼 All The Buzz. After a historic season last year and a stellar summer league showing, former Villanova standout Eric Dixon earned a contract with the Charlotte Hornets this week.

Dixon, who led the nation in scoring last season (23.3 ppg), finished his career with the ‘Cats as the program’s leading scorer with 2,314 points.

He will report to Hornets training camp this week heading into the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season.

🔼 Life On The Road. The Villanova women’s soccer team continues its road trippin’ this weekend when the ‘Cats head to St. John’s tomorrow night for a Saturday night showdown with the Red Storm.
