🔼 Matinee Magic. Much to the delight of thousands of screaming school kids, the Villanova women’s basketball team rolled to a 67-50 home win over Xavier on Thursday afternoon.

With the victory, the Wildcats have now won 11 of their past 12 outings and sit at 13-3 overall and 6-1 in BIG EAST play.

Kelsey Joens led the way offensively with a career-high 18 points, including a career-best six 3-pointers. Jasmine Bascoe finished with 15 points and seven assists, while Brynn McCurry chipped in 10 point and seven rebounds.

🔼 Playoff Bound. The NFL postseason kicks off this weekend and former Wildcat Christian Benford finds himself right in the middle of the action yet again.

For the third straight season, Benford will lineup for the Buffalo Bills in the postseason as the squad looks to battle for a chance at the Vince Lombardi Trophy next month.

Benford and his teammates are set to square off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday at 1 p.m.

🔼 Finishing Strong. The Villanova swim program finished their Florida trip on a high note this week as the Wildcats took home a 161-93 dual meet victory over the University of North Florida.

The women's team recorded 29 top three finishes and won 10 events. Since the Ospreys only have a women's program, the men swam for time and did not compete against athletes from another school.
