🔼 House Defended. A little winter weather outside couldn’t cool down the Villanova women’s hoops team at home.
A strong second half helped the ‘Cats earn a seventh straight home win, defeating visiting Butler 73-65 on Sunday afternoon. With the victory, Villanova sits at 15-4 overall and 8-2 in BIG EAST play, good for second place in the league standings.
Jasmine Bascoe led the way with 22 points, while Denae Carter added 15. Ryanne Allen and Bryann McCurry also reached double-figures with 12 points apiece.
Defensively, the Wildcats forced Butler into 31 turnovers on the day.
🔼 Life In The Fast Lane. Good thing they don’t give out speeding tickets on the track.
The Villanova track & field squads opened up the 2026 indoor schedule this past weekend with a successful day at the Quaker Invitational on Saturday.
Junior Dan Watcke (1000m) and redshirt freshman Jack Fenlon (mile) were winners in their events for the men, while Olivia Allen, Lizzie Martell and Bella Walsh earned top-5 times in school history for the women.
