🔼 Late Surge Loss. The men’s basketball team fell 69-63 at Xavier after the Musketeers went on a 12-2 run in the final two minutes. Eric Dixon and Jordan Longino led the Wildcats with 18 points each. Up next, Villanova will host Providence at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday night.

🔼 Roll Call. Women’s basketball’s Maddie Webber was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after a solid week on the court! She averaged 17.5 points and 4.5 rebounds against Marquette and Georgetown.

🔼 For The Kids. The women’s basketball is hosting DePaul, presented by Villanova’s College of Professional Studies, today at an earlier time than usual! The teams will tip off at 11:30 a.m. Villanova invites schools K-12 to attend and admission is free! There will be an educational program throughout the game and at halftime.

🔼 Poplar’s Popularity. Villanova guard Wooga Poplar has an inspiring story, transforming from a late starter in basketball to a standout player. Initially passionate about baseball and dirt biking, his path took a significant turn when his basketball skills were displayed. His journey took him to Miami, but all roads led home when he transferred to Villanova for his senior season. Today, Poplar is a role model for young athletes, sharing his journey and guiding them with the wisdom gained from his success. Read more about Wooga Poplar’s road to success here!

🔼  Mark Your Calendar. The spring golf schedule is here! Villanova will tee off at BIG EAST Match Play on February 2-3 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ryan Pamer enters the spring ranked seventh in the conference in points per event. Three Wildcats are shooting under a 75.5 stroke average in Pamer, Vibhav Alokam and Matt Zerfass.
