🔼  Tradition Like No Other. A Villanovan will be competing in the Summer Olympics for the 20th time in-a-row! Former Villanova track & field star Patrick Tiernan will be one of five Australian athletes that will compete in the marathon at the 2024 Paris Olympics. It will be his third Olympics as he competed in 2016 and 2020. Tiernan was a 2016 national champion in cross country as a Wildcat. There has been at least one Villanovan in every Summer Olympics since 1948.

🔼 Hall Of Famer. Speaking of Villanova track & field greats, Marty Liquori was inducted into the Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame in Eugene, Oregon on Sunday. He became the fourth Wildcat into the Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame, which was created in 2022 by the USTFCCCA. The Wildcat legend was a five-time NCAA champion during his Nova career. He was also an eight-time All-American and represented the United States at the 1968 Summer Olympics.
