📈 STOCK UP

🔼 History Made. Villanova softball went to the Fayetteville Regional with just one all-time NCAA Tournament win under their belt. They left with two more wins, including a win over the host team — No. 12 Arkansas. The Wildcats took down SEMO and Arkansas to advance to their first-ever regional final, where they would meet Arizona. Villanova fell to Arizona, 9-4, in the final. The Wildcats finish the year with a 33-24 overall record, their fourth-straight season with 30 wins.

🔼  National Recognition. As the softball team was taking care of business on the field, three Wildcats picked up 2024 NFCA All-Mideast Region honors. Ally Jones and Lilly St. Jean earned Second Team honors, while Tess Cites landed on the Third Team. This is the second All-Region honor for Jones and Cites.

🔼 Finished Strong. Villanova baseball concluded the regular season with a series win at Xavier. The Wildcats won on Thursday and Friday to secure the series, before dropping the final game. Friday’s 8-6 win came with two Wildcat home runs, one from Jason Neff and the other from John Whooley. Jack O’Reilly and Connor Hale hit homers in Saturday’s loss.

🔼 In The Books. Villanova rowing finished the CAA Championship in sixth-place. The Wildcats earned 21 points, the fourth-most points at the event in program history. Kara Dempsey was named All-CAA after her Varsity Eight boat finished in fourth-place in the Grand Final. The Varsity Four and Second Varsity Eight boats won their Petite Final races.
