🔼 Clean As A Whistle. The women’s soccer team earned its second-straight shutout win on Friday, defeating Penn 1-0. Susanna Soderman scored the lone goal of the game early in the second half. Gabby Koluch led the team with five shots. Hannah Dickinson held down the goal with one save, picking up her second win of the season and her first solo clean sheet.
⚽️ Up next, the Wildcats will play at Jacksonville on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
🔼 Talkin’ Ball. Talking Villanova Football with Head Coach Mark Ferrante presented by Bud Light is back! The show is set to air on Tuesdays at Chickie’s & Pete’s from 6-7 p.m. Tomorrow’s show will be a bit longer than usual, running from 5-7:30 p.m. in Drexel Hill. Coach Ferrante will be joined by Joe Makoid, Randy Foye and Brian Westbrook tomorrow. All shows will air LIVE on Fox Sports Radio Philly, listeners can also tune in on the iHeart radio app.
🔼 Cut Short. The men’s soccer team went down 2-0 to Temple early in Sunday’s game but tried to make a comeback in the second half. Colby Raymond scored the first Wildcat goal to cut the deficit to 2-1. A few minutes later, Temple responded with a goal of their own. Jorge Garcia cut the deficit to 3-2 in the 82nd minute for his second goal of the season. The Wildcats couldn’t score any more and Temple defeated Villanova 3-2.

🔼 Mark Your Calendars. The men’s basketball non-conference schedule is here! The season will begin when the Wildcats host Lafayette on November 4. The following week, they’ll open Philadelphia Big Five play at Saint Joseph’s before hosting Penn on November 19. They’ll play a few neutral site games, including the Hall of Fame Series Baltimore, the Empire Classic in Newark and the Big Five Classic at Wells Fargo Center.
🏀 Fans can get a first look at the Wildcats on October 27 when they host Robert Morris for a charity exhibition game, benefiting Team Impact.
🔼 Big League Back. Former Villanova running back Jalen Jackson scored his first NFL touchdown over the weekend! The Jacksonville Jaguar ran it in for six against the Atlanta Falcons in their preseason game.
