🔼  Earned It. The Villanova softball coaching staff has been named NFCA Coaching Staff of the Year for the Mideast region! The stellar staff of Bridget Orchard, Gabby Luety, and Grace Fagan led the ‘Cats to their first regional final in program history at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional. The team set a program record with 19 BIG EAST wins to secure their first league regular season title. The crew will advance to National Coaching Staff of the Year award voting.

🔼 Academic Excellence. Villanova student-athletes combined for a 3.489 GPA for the 2024 Spring semester. This is the 13th straight semester student-athletes have topped a 3.3 GPA. Nine teams boasted a 3.5 or higher — water polo, women’s soccer, field hockey and men and women’s swimming & diving. The academic and athletic success puts Villanova in the upper echelon of collegiate athletic programs.

🔼 Not Done Yet. Some Wildcats are still in competition on the track! Rising sophomores Olivia Allen, Ajanae Thompson and Dan Watcke will be competing at the USATF U20 Championships at Hayward Field today and tomorrow. Allen will compete in the 400m hurdles, Thompson in the 100m hurdles and Watcke in the 800m.
