🔼 Battle Of The Wildcats. Villanova softball will begin their third NCAA Tournament run in four years. They’ll play No. 17 Arizona in the Fayetteville Regional tonight at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. The winner will play the winner of No. 12 Arkansas vs. SEMO on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The loser will play the loser of that game on Saturday at 2 p.m.

🔼  Strong Start. Villanova baseball started their final regular season series strong with an 8-5 win at Xavier. Michael Whooley started the scoring with a two-run homer in the third. The Wildcats scored three more innings in the fourth to go up 6-2. Jason Neff capitalized in the ninth inning, hitting a two-run shot to reach the 8-5 final score. Luke McCollough allowed just two hits and a run through five innings pitched. They’ll return for a 2 p.m. game today and conclude the series on Saturday at 10 a.m.

 

🔼 Rowing For A Trophy. The rowing team is at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships this weekend. This will be their third event this season at Cooper River in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Three Villanova boats will race in the championships field. The V8 is the highest-seeded Wildcat boat at No. 4. They’ll race against top-seeded Northeastern, No. 5 UConn and No. 8 Monmouth at 9:30 this morning. The 2V8 owns the seventh-seed and will launch at 10 a.m. The V4 also owns the seventh-seed and will launch at 10:20 a.m. All of the action will stream on FloSports.

🔼 Just The Start. Wednesday night was opening night for the WNBA’s Dallas Wings. Former Wildcat Maddy Siegrist put on a show to kick off her second season in the league. She scored 13 points, and had five rebounds and three blocks in the win over the Chicago Sky.
